#SEOisAEO: What does Machine Learning DO in AE Today - and what might it do Tomorrow

One question I rarely see anyone stick their neck out is “how much does machine learning affect search results today?”. Another is “how will Machine Learning affect search / answer engine optimisation in the next few years?” I hope and expect Patrick, Dawn and Jan-Willem will stick their necks out about how Google uses ML today … but also hypothesise about both how Google, Amazon, Microsoft et al will apply ML tomorrow. I want to know who might make the most of ML today to dominate the search / answer landscape tomorrow. I suspect the answers will not be what you expect!
